Hi all! I have a buddy who is a captain on St. John. He and his buddies - fellow captains - cruised the BVI today for the first time since Irma. He said they were blown away by the destruction near the water. He specifically commented about Nanny Cay and the Moorings base. On the positive side, he said the houses on Tortola on the hills looked better than he thought they would. Lastly, they pulled up to Soggy and someone walked out and said they thought they would be serving drinks in 30 days. I know there are much greater concerns, but any good news should be celebrated as the hard working people down there rebuild.

I know that from a friend in CGB, she says that no one until they see it can truly understand the destruction. Also the bugs and the rats in the village are incredible to see. And there is no construction supplies to meet the demand of repairs and rebuilds...(they need roof etc) and that is the first delimma, and then finding someone to do it. They are still shocked! But, can at least walk around a bit now...but the bugs!
