After just reading PM William Marlin's statement in the Herald calling Samaritans purse' disaster assistance responsored team the leading outfit I thought I would make a.post. I've skirted highlighting them by name instead of highlighting "their dc-8 just landed again". Not wanting to pick one amongst others. BUT other than govts, Dutch red cross, I don't know of any other Leading charities by name. These folks landed on first day able and several days since. When they don't hit sxm, they hit Haiti and San juan.

Safe to say they are all in for SXM.

Also to be noted is the arrival on Sept 10 of Global Medic, a disaster recovery team from Toronto. They provided water purification systems, drone mapping systems for more accurate damage assessment, and a variety of other disaster related relief. Different teams have been dispatched to the various islands affected. Their specific response is governed by the needs of the country. In all cases, immediate relief is what organizations such as these two bring to the table. Kudos to them.
