Holy cow, Quito's rates for the new Inn are sky high! I seriously doubt he will ever be full with these prices!

I thought the same thing when I read the Facebook post. The suites are very high priced. The single Queen room for $275, including breakfast for two, is more reasonable.

Colleen,

I agree about the room rates. The Queen rooms are slightly higher than our most expensive 1 bedroom apartment. They just don't offer as much space. All others are definitely setting a new standard for CGB.

I'm most curious about the 7% Government Sales Tax; not sure what that is supposed to be. But, just like Agape Cottages, they do not mention a service charge.

What I found iinteresting is in the top 2 units description there is a full or half day boat tour included. Everyday? If I was paying that rate daily then I'd want it daily. Don't think their initial rate posting was completely thought through. And the breakfast, heck they still owe me about 7 months worth from the old days. Not even a cup of coffee

Sorry, but those rates (and the facility) are over the top for Cane Garden.

I'm curious to see what happens when those rooms start contributing to the non functional CGB sewer system.

Room tax now in the BVI's is 10%. Good to remember there are still very reasonable places to stay on Tortola..

Malcom - they correctly listed the 10% Hotel Accommodation Tax, but also listed a 7% Government Sales Tax. What do you suppose that could be?

I'll word it carefully but it sounds like the "tax" that gets added to food tabs that does not exist and is in fact a service charge. I know both you and I don't play that game..

Not everyone rents a car, but what about parking space for a facility that big? Malcolm, Jason, any guesses what percent of guests have rental cars?

I realize you're going to pay more for a brand new place, with a pool, spa, etc. But I'm perfectly happy in a $100 per night room at Rhymers.

About half our guests rent vehicles and a few more get vehicles for a day or two while they are with us. Quito's car count might be a little lower because they are directly across the street from the beach and do not have the "exercise hill climb" that we offer...

We have dedicated parking for each unit so not an issue for us. Maybe I should consider renting parking spaces to Quito's guests...

I questioned thesales tax on the facebook page. They replied that it was a typo. Should be a 10% Service fee So plan on a total of 20% over the quoted rate.

Just read that there will be a 3 night min. too. So for a single room for 3 nights, with extra's, will be $990. Suite for 3 nights - $2,700

$2700 could get you a fairly decent mono at Conch for longer!

I wish them well in their new hotel. Personally, I think it is way too "upmarket" for CGB. To spend that kind of money to be crowded out by the [censored] (there, I said it, sue me) just doesn't make sense to me.

I encourage folks to check around for prices..from $900 per week right on the sand on Apple Bay to $300 per night in top rated boutique hotels ( do your research as plugging here is frowned upon)..

The rates are stated as $XXX/day Each additional person over the age of 12 is $50 extra per night, 4 persons max.

That sounds like a per person rate - is that right? Or is it a 2-person rate? I don't see anything about "breakfast for two" unless I missed that?
