Our trip had it's good and a few bads. We ended up taken a bus to Boston for a direct flight instead of taking a flight out of Portland Me. and getting a connecting one out of NY.

A few days before our trip my wife developed a chest cold and could not shake it the whole trip so it kind of put a damper on things we wanted to do. We planned on taken a trip to Angulia and she usually spends a couple days on Pinel Island, but she didn't feel up to it, so our report is a little boring as we became beach bums going to Club O beach most every day.

We rented a studio apartment in Orient Village and it was great and the weather was almost perfect, with the exception of a couple days being hotter than normal and one day was overcast. There was a couple days of lots of seaweed but rest was great. As I took my morning walks I noticed them raking the seaweed with small tractor as usual but some days they were using a large excavator digging down as they went along, it seems this would cause more beach erosion.

We went to Marigot one morning to the markets and one day we tried to go to Phillipsburg but got stuck in traffic so we turned around and went back, traffic seemed worse this time. After my morning walks I picked up croissants and coffees at either Yel Sub or Good Morning and brought them back as we got ready for the day.

We went out to eat many times, on Orient Beach bars we went to Chez leanndra's, Pedro's,Aloha, Sun Clubber, LeString, Pirates Hideout, the Perch, and Papagayo's, our favorites being Chez's, Papagayo's and LeString with there great kabob's. For dinner in Orient we went to LePiment 3 times, Astrolabes 2 times and RanchDelSol, LePiment was still our favorite of all the restaurants on the island. For breakfast we went to Good Morning, Yel. Sub, LaPlaya, Alamanda, and ParidiceView. In Grand Case we went to Spiga, LePressior, LeSoliel, LAuberge, LePetit and Talk of the town, with LeSoliel and Spiga being our favorites. L.Auberge is usually our favorite but was a big disappointment this time.
We planned on trying more in Simpson Bay but only made it for breakfast at ZeeBest and Atlantico cafe.

Last day we left our studio at 11:00 with Wilfred Brooks for our enjoyable taxi ride to the airport with him telling us many stories. When we arrived our 2:30 Jet Blue flight was moved up and we ended up leaving at 4:00,then on our bus ride home from Boston there was a bad accident we ended waiting a hour in traffic finally arriving home at 1:30.

All in all it was great vacation even with few glitches, very relaxing, eating lots of good food and making many new friends.

Hi. Thanks for the report. I added some returns to make the report more readable.

Thanks for the report. Your trip really was similar to ours. We also stayed in the studios, and must have been neighbors for 10 days and didn't even know it!
Oops, i now see you where in the village to Club O <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />
