Now that Simply is out of business, where is the best place to pick up produce etc without traveling to Marigot? Staying at Mt Vernon.
Thank you

Leader Price might have what you want. It's much smaller than Simply, but did have fresh produce last time we were there, and does save a trip to Marigot.

Or check out TTOL sponsor Petit Casino, in Orient Village. It's a smaller store and their prices are a bit higher perhaps, but close. Also, within Orient area (which I don't think applies to Mt. Vernon area, but you should check with them) they do FREE DELIVERY, with 50 Euro order.

It's up on the side of the hill near the roundabout at hope estate almost across from the cadisco gas station. Petit casino in Orient village does have a lot of items as well.

There is a Super U in Marigot that seemed to be well stocked. I found Leader Price while conveniently located, to be very lacking in stock. There were many items that we could not find there. The condo manager at Mont Vernon even recommended the drive to the Super U.

I think it really does matter on the day you shop. We have had good luck at Leader Price for produce and wine on some days and on other days it has been poorly stocked. In the summer we had good luck at the Hope Estate Market. It is in the plaza where Simply was. Again availability depended upon the day of the week, especially for produce. If you are on the French side and are looking for American products they do carry a lot. Especially cereals, jams, soda, pasta sauce etc. As well they carry American brands of bacon and sausage in the freezer. Not products we look for but may be of interest to some. Prices were good and in the summer it was 1 to 1.

I almost forgot about the Cocci Market in Cul de Sac. It's on the right hand side of the road, I think across the street from Jam Rock. A small but well stocked market. Nice produce, bread, etc.
