We will be arriving on the island Saturday the 11th and staying at OBBR. On our past visits we haven't participated much in the night life away from the resort but would like to check out the Red Piano this year. Will there be nearby parking? What time would we need to arrive to get a table? Is there a cover charge? Does anyone know what night Church on Monday plays?

Regarding parking, the easiest thing to do is just use the valet at Hollywood Casino. Worth the few bucks. No cover charge at Red Piano. No smoking there now, which is a good thing, to me. The size of the crowd really depends on the night. Church on Monday is on, ahem, Monday!

When did they start the no smoking? When we were there this last May you could have smoked a turkey with all the smokers.

The no smoking thing changes things! I always felt like we had to strip down before we walked back in the door at our villa! No wonder the neighbors were always so friendly!!

Always avoided Red Piano because of the smoke but wished I could go because I love good music. Looking forward to my first trip in July.

Good to hear the no smoking policy. Tried it several years ago and couldn't take the smoke.

We stopped going years ago because it was so smoky. So happy to hear they changed their policy. The talent there was always wonderful. Looking forward to giving it a try again.

We were there on "Monday" Jan 9th this year. Tons of people smoking outside the door. Parking is a problem,,,very limited. We had dined at Bon Appetite,,right across the road, and they let us park at Red Piano space, while we ate, so we got very lucky. The music on Mondays is awesome....great guitar playing. Very crowded. I smoke, but was so happy to see that they made a no smoking inside rule, the place just was not big enough. We never miss a Monday there while on the island. Have fun!!

We were there a couple of weeks ago. We walked there so parking was not an issue for us. Parking is very limited. Full house on Monday night. Great music. Right in my wheelhouse but I wished we would have had ear plugs. Way too loud. They say they have entertainment 7 nights a week. Full band on Monday.

We visited Red Piano last summer and it was awesome. So much of this has to do with the performer. We went there last week and the guy playing now is from Australia. Nothing wrong with that, except he kept saying to each request, "no, I don't know that one, don't know that one ... Oh here's an Australian song ..." He knew enough traditional stuff that you might expect at a piano bar, but it was pretty limited. We might go back tonight since the other option for piano bar is Sopranos in Maho. The current performer is super talented, but thinks she has a platform for her political views. Plus, she is very crude. Love the no smoking policy at Red Piano! Best bet if you are a non-smoker - go to Red Piano Bar and request Australian songs. You will be in heaven!

OK. I guess I don't really think of those groups as Australian or more properly, their songs as Australian, as they didn't have that Crocodile Dundee accent!!

Funny. Up until 2 years ago I thought AC/DC was from Scotland!! Had no idea they were from Australia until I read the article about Malcom Young and Dementia. But I thing both Angus and Malcom come From Scotland.
