Jet Blue is great. Mint Service is pricey but very good.

Generally there are no "classes" on Jet Blue, unless you consider, "more leg room", a class. Mint is not offered on all flights, usually just long flights. Mint is similar to first class on other airlines, but is very pricey.

Don,

We were AA JFK flyers for as long as they've been servicing SXM but as they've curtailed their n/s services to SXM we've been forced to change carriers.

We've pretty much switched our allegiance to JB due to a number of reasons, price and n/stop flights being foremost, but also, I've actually come to like their three-tiered ticket choices. When we go for a long weekend we don't have to pay for a checked bag but when our stay is longer, we can choose the middle tier with one bag included or not.

The best time I've seen to purchase, short of huge sales, is within 2-3 weeks of my preferred travel dates first becoming available. I also like the idea of being able to purchase the up-front roomier seats though I do think they've gotten pricey of late. With these seats you often get pre-check approved as well as early boarding which gives you ample opportunity to convenient overhead storage of belongings.

Service is basically the same - free NA beverages but including DD coffee with real half and half and not low fat milk - along with unlimited free snacks but everything else comes with a price tag. I miss AA and their Business Class service but I've accepted JB and usually like their flight times.

We haven't done Mint yet but I've heard it's nice and you do get two checked bags included with these seats. It's very easy to accumulate points for free tickets on JB.

We've only flown Delta a few times but they always seem to be considerably more expensive when I check on their flights to SXM. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Respectfully,

pat

I have never had the opportunity to fly Jet Blue but Delta is fine. Delta is as reliable as any other airline, they all have good days and bad days. Currently, I would take Delta over AA but those are the only 2 choices I really have.

Either Delta or JB would be my equal choice. Extra space (JB) and Delta Comfort (Delta) are very similar and worth the minimal $$...

SXM does have JB Mint service from JFK

If everything is about equal, I would look at price and schedule. Not much else to consider.

We've flown both. Preferred JB until Delta had better prices last year. Very happy with our DL flight down.

We pick carrier based on price and schedule. Prefer to fly out early and return on the later side.

Where do you come into at JFK on Delta. Spoiled with the JetBlue terminal because it's so easy and pretty sure just JB and a handful of other airlines

I believe for international flights it's terminal 4. Domestic Delta flights is terminal 2.

Had always used AA - JFK-SXM until the n/s was taken out of
service. Switched to Delta last 4 years. Upgraded us to 1st
class and have not been sorry. I always travel with 6 pieces
of luggage (we are always a party of 3 traveling). Booked
this year's trip back in Oct.2016 and paid $750r/t. Price now almost $1,100.

I have flown both, JB is good, but I like Delta comfort a little bit better. My final decision is price, with Delta comfort you get complimentary cocktails.

Thanks. Reason I asked is we have been using "Mobile passport" and making it from landing to the car in under 30 minutes (when not checking bags) but not much longer with bags. When ever we flew AA it could
Be up to 90
Minutes and husband thinks Delta was just as long one time. We try to go out AA when the n/s is runnning and use points for businsss then home JB because of the ease of clearing the terminal.

Delta is located in the international terminal 4 @ JFK. We have flown both Delta and Jet Blue to SXM but Delta is our airline of choice, not only to St Martin but almost everywhere else we travel. We stick with one airline and regularly enjoy upgrades to first class. We typically book Delta Comfort for the extra leg room.

We always book early and get what we consider good prices--flights are non-stop.

Not sure how JetBlue miles/rewards work but on Delta, the miles do not expire currently.

Thanks. I had no idea as they are not an option for me to consider.

We were AA Non Stop from JFK for many years. Last couple trips have been on Delta due to cost. Upcoming (not soon enough as I sit here in a Blizzard) Trip will be JB for the first time to SXM for the same reason. Schedule is close. JB prices were better.

Have flown both Delta and AA N/S from JFK, flying N/S on AA this easter week. They were less expensive than Delta for the timeframe I needed, but their Main Cabin Extra upgrade does not include bags or cocktails, only extra leg room and early boarding.

The blizzard was ugly but not as bad as some we've had in recent years; it just make us more anxious to get back to SXM as soon as possible. March can't get here soon enough.
