Marinating ex-large JUMBO shrimp (16-20 count) now in Olive Oil & fresh chopped garlic... (ex-large jumbo shrimp on sale this week at Shop-Rite for $19.99 for 2 pounds, cleaned and de-shelled)... Gonna put them on wooden skewers, and cook on the BBQ tonite! Served over dill herbed safron rice with yellow squash & fresh green beans... YUMMMM...

$10/a pound for 16 to 20 cleaned and shelled? Now that's a real deal!!!
These would be great as New Orleans style BBQ shrimp. Ms Seaside makes this one and it is one good dish (so is she!!)

Sounds delicious! I think the price of shrimp are going to skyrocket (because of the oil spill), so get them while you can. I'm buying some for the freezer.

Good thinking re: the coming shrimp shortage, better enjoy or stock-up now. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Sad.gif" alt="" />

We pay about $18 lb, but that is for rock lobster tails, so they are all meat, but still.

we have been getting lobster here in NJ for $3.99-$4.99/lb. (on sale) for the last few years... The are usually "soft shelled" lobsters (much less meat, much more body weight due to water in the cavity)... so what we do is wait til Sunday night right before the store closes, when most lobsters are sold out... and get a rain check, and come back another time when the hard shelled lobsters are in... and get them for the sale price...
I used Tip's BBQ rub on one skewer of the shrimp, just to try it... It was good, but only good, as I had marinated the shrimp in so much garlic... it was all too spicy and garlicy and overpowered any shrimp flavor... Next time, we'll use only Tip's BBQ on the shrimp... The combination was just too much... Gotta keep experminating! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
