Hi, Just booked our vacation rental just above apple bay. We will be staying there for 4 days after our 7 day bareboat charter. Looking to spend this time to decompress and actually sleep!<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/snore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/snore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/snore.gif" alt="" />
Anyway after a great night of rest and a few naps, looking to explore some of the beaches that I haven't been to on the cruise and on prior trips.
Top of the list so far are - Long Bay, beef island - Smugglers Cove - Long bay, Tortola
Not sure how many beaches we will be going to. So was hoping to get your top 3! Also I am an avid snorkeler so if there are great snorkeling beaches, I want to hear about them!
Thx, PS I am planning on renting a car, and we will be there on island late June early July.

Considering you're staying in Apple Bay enjoy the beach there as it doesn't get closer plus quick access to bathrooms, beer, and nap time. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> My list would be Smugglers, Brewers Bay, Long Bay(West End).

Check out Josiah's....my personal favorite. You can usually get food and drink at the bar or restaurant if u want need it...but i'd recommend bringing anything you might want to eat or drink just in caae.

My initial reaction was going to be: Smugglers Cove x3, but I'll expand my thoughts. My favorite beach for sure is Smugglers, but Long Bay is beautiful (we were married there--see my avatar) but Cane Garden comes in as my third choice, mostly because I love watching the sun set there & seeing all the boats moored there.

My most peaceful beach days have been on Little Apple Bay, but l also second all the other suggestions. I have to add Brewers to the list!

Just heard that Brewers has a water sports rental business on the beach. Does this mean it is now a destination for ship people. That would be a downer.

I think there is one in on the day I arrive and one mid week but, we hope to be in Anagada. And then there is one in on the day we are leaving. Definitely keep brewers bay in mind! Been to Cane Garden bay a couple of times while sailing, definitely swing by afternoon one day for dinner and sunset drinks!

Is there any good snorkeling in CGB? We'll be there for 3 nights pre-charter and wondering if we should tote our snorkeling gear down to the beach.

The reef on the west side of the reef is nice if it is calm. Just watch for jet skis or dinghies. There is a sunken barge on the other end near the fuel dock.
