Does STT have TSA Pre-check? Last time we passed through -- this past February -- they didn't, but they let those of us who had it go through the regular lines without taking our shoes off. Wondering if it's changed since.

they kind of do. We left STT last year and they had the TSA line shut down. Went through the regular line and almost got to the front of the line. Then we were informed that the TSA line had opened. They made us start over in the TSA line and added an hour to our check in.

Having a ticket with TSA PreCheck on it normally does not mean you have to do it. Eva,
They do have pre-check but... As in the islands there is always the island time factor. I have come to the realization that it always best to go early and how long it takes is the limiting factor on the number of cocktails on the other side <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

To really speed up the process regardless of your TSA preCheck status... GET A PORTER/RED CAP... after 22 trips it always works, well worth it.

We went through Wednesday and the pre-check line was empty. The only benefits to pre-check at STT is that you get to leave your shoes and belt on. You still need to remove major electronics and your liquids from your bag. That is as it has been since the added the pre-check lane.
We printed Delta boarding passes and were through security in a total of 15 minutes. No check bags.

It took us only 15 minutes from curbside to the gate with checked bags. We always fly out on weekdays if possible. We were probably sitting near you, but we were tuned to the CNN post-election coverage. Great to meet you and your wife at the Cat Fight and Halloween Party. You sailed an excellent race.

Baard, it was great to meet you and your crew did a great race as well. We're loving the weekday travel. January we come back on a Saturday and will just have to deal with the crowd.

Are Sundays any better than Saturdays (this would be in June)?
Thanks, Rick

Sundays are pretty much the same as Saturdays. In June you get families traveling which drives a bit more chaos. But, June is better than holiday weeks.

I went through the TSA precheck in STT a couple of weeks ago and I didn't have to remove my shoes nor remove my liquids from my backpack. I guess it's just a hit or miss as to what they require you to do.
Love sailing the BVI's with friends.
