Another hot day with a mix of sun and clouds. Ate breakfast at villa overlooking ocean. That view and routine never gets old . Spent a couple hrs on beach before rain hit us but was short lived. Another burst of rain hit about 1p and that too didn't last long.

Lunch at Sunset beach bar was good. Shared burger with David $13 incl big burger, fries, coleslaw, pickle spear along with lettuce, tomatoes and sliced red onion. Service was prompt and our waitress was attentive.

No ships in port so a good day to visit. They have two gift shops, far superior bathrooms than before but it's lost it's charm. The motif as my friend says looks more western than Caribbean although you can still get a good view of planes landing & taking off which still has a great appeal. Gratuity of 15% added to bill and they validated parking so no cost to us.

Return to BSV for mudslides and swim in pool.

Dinner with John & Michelle at Advantika, a Thai restaurant in Puerta Del Sol. You can dine inside in a/c or outdoor open air. Good Thai food. Service charge added to bill. After went across the road to Zoo Rock Cafe. The place is decorated with a jungle theme. Large place with two bars, dj and band stage and dance area. They have many large tables to accommodate big dinner parties. It was empty for the hour or so we were there. They have a full dinner menu.

Shrimp pad Thai

Hamburger looks GREAT, Thai food, not so much, although I'm not a huge fan of Thai food. What's on tap for today??

Thanks for the report. Seems like all resturants are now adding the service charge.

Almost seems like you're right, Norm. ...which to me is stupid, since we always tip more than 15%, but if that's what they are going to do, fine and dandy, that's all they will get from us..

Unorganized Pub crawl for the boys later. Several friends depart early tomorrow morning so unsure.

Sun and clouds so far this morning which is a repeat of many days

Same here but not being a 'foodie' it wasn't an issue for me. If it was a beach picture, then I would have been very disappointed, for sure.

Louise - I hope your weather improves and the trip is a good one. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

I didn't see them last night either, Carol, and in fact, I wondered what you were talking about regarding the 'burger looking good' but again - not a foodie or a food photo fan - so I wasn't particularly bothered by not seeing them. I would have been sad to miss a good beach shot though.... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Pictures were there last night.. Not sure what's going on, almost seems to be a photobucket problem.

Probably is Photobucket. I received an apology email from them that they were "back", after an outage. Wonder if it's another of those DNS hacks?

Pat, are you saying you don't have a picture folder labeled Food Porn like we do? Lol <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Both are gone for me now so I would say it is probably a photobucket issue.

Nope! No food porn here....no problems with those who are into food pics but they really don't do anything for me.

Now if I was there......and eating the food! Well, that's a whole different story but looking at it in photos only makes me hungry. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Yes they were in Photobucket and while I'm still logged in and have wifi I was receiving an authentication error this morning. I can no longer edit to reestablish the links. I take many other photos of ppl but won't post w/o my friends permission. Some of them are members of TTOL while others only use Facebook.

Louise--I tried to go in and edit the post to put the picture back in, but it works differently in Photobucket than other sites and I've never used it before.. I will see if Eric can fix it.

I can upload to Shutterfly or Snapfish when I get home

Sorry the pictures are not showing up, but glad to see others are having the same issue - for a minute, I thought there was a problem with my computer.

I can see them now. Using my tablet, while I was on my laptop before.
