Saw a nice article in the WaPost about hurricanes with some cool graphics.
Article discusses the current season and current conditions for hurricane formation as well as an outlook for the remainder of the season.

We're about to enter the most active 6-weeks of the year.

According to NHC, in the peak of the season there's about a 2% chance per week of a named storm coming within 50nm of the US/BVI.

Thanks Twanger. Makes me feel better. I'm naturally a pessimist so any help seeing the little positives is appreciated.

Walt, nice and hurricanes don't go in the same sentence <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />. We just got back from St. Martin putting Long Overdue to bed for hurricane season. Can you say P.I.A.? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Ha! Yeah, only nice when there are none. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Is Long Overdue on shore, or in the lagoon?
