Yes, Hendo's Hide Out is right next to Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay. We'll probably visit them next week for the first time... it's pretty new.

Hendo's is well done! Love the large square bar with chairs all around. The owners are awesome to talk with and really into making it a place that people want to come to relax. The have a pig roast on Sundays but get there early cause it goes fast. Also, Rosa, (former employee of The Heritage Inn/Bananakeet) is managing so you know it will keep getting better and better.

Hopefully the competition from Hendos will force the current SDB operators to consider customer service while they rake in the soggy dollars.

My wife, son and daughter (15 and 12) and I will be chartering out of BVI YC (on Oxia) from the 12th - 20th. I've followed this board for years but never posted. It's our third time in the BVIs and we're very excited, as always. Anyone that wants to stop by would be welcome.

Getting mixed reviews on whether or not to stop here. I prefer quiet relaxed anchorages, but maybe a midweek stop for a cocktail will be less crowded? What is up with SDB customer service?

White Bay is a zoo from around 11am - 3pm around the SDB area - Ivan's is less insane as is One Love in the other direction. Hendo's was a nice place to watch the activity and not have to wait in the fraternity party line for a beverage

There was nothing at all wrong with customer service at Soggy Dollar when we were there in high season. Maybe someone had an off day? Sure, White Bay gets crowded, but it still makes for a fun day, and there are plenty of beach bars...not just Soggy or Hendo's.

We'll be land based in White Bay July 21-26. Can't wait to check out Hendo's! They weren't open yet when we were on Jost in January.

Felix ... once again we'll be there during your stay. This time we'll be on Island Fun (42' Leopard) and will be sailing around the islands. Plan right now is to be in Diamond Cay on the 23rd (hanging around B-Line) and in White Bay on the 24th (Soggy/Hendo's/One Love).
Just above your post is my wife (Sugaree) Maybe we'll see you there !!

White Bay is our favorite spot in the BVI. We've never found it a zoo. Sometimes busy, but always fun.

Hi Allan! We'd love to meet you guys this time around. I'll PM you my cell, which I'll have on me most of the time while we're down there. If your wife's handle is a Dead reference, I think we'll get along just fine Felix

It's looking very likely I will be down July 28-August 3 -- will likely hang at CGB for a couple of nights and then Leverick - St. Thomas for one the night before I head back...would love to hang with some fellow TTOLers....

Great, Mal!!! I am at Myetts for 7/28 and 7/29...going over to Leverick on 7/30 for a couple of nights - Emerald Beach for the night of 8/2 before I fly back to L.A. on 8/3. First solo trip It was my present from Brian for putting up with Mickey for 17 years

Hoping we hit the same ferry for the trip to Tortola that day. Getting picked up on West End for the final leg to Jost. My first solo trip too!
