In response to Carol's suggestion of the various supermarkets, we find the Maho market to be adequate too, but for sure, not the best choice for major supplies. I would also recommend the various Carrefour and Grand Marche stores over Maho Market even though they aren't as close. But really, once you're in the car, a couple of extra miles is not a big deal.

Personally speaking, as one who absolutely hates to grocery shop ANYWHERE and under ANY circumstances, I'm one of Shop n Drop/aka Jeannie's earliest and most vocal fans and supporters. Her service is the BEST!

We've used her shopping/stocking service for every trip since she opened her business and to date, each trip she has been spot on with every item on our list. And she will always go the extra mile not to just get what you want, but to get the very best of what you want that's available on the island. I often marvel at how she finds such nice produce but she does, consistently. The only drawback is that in order to make her business viable, your order might be too small to meet her base dollar amount for her to be able to accommodate you. It would certainly be worth your while to check out her ad in the TTOL SXM sponsor list and see for yourself. I find her prices to be more than just reasonable for the service and the effort she puts forth for all her clients. And beyond that, she's a really terrific person with an incredible story to tell.
