Beautiful morning yesterday but dark clouds started in after noon so Happy Bay was postponed and Simpson bay beach walk seemed more appropriate. I was amazed at how heavy the surf was. It was breaking right up to the the deck at Karacter and only a few beach chairs in use and they were far back...

We also tried to get a bit of sun and set up right against the airport wall..and got swamped twice.

Beach at BSV was maybe 30-35 feet of sand...BUT...the surf went right up to the walls.

We went back to Karacter in the evening and had a great time listening to a fine singer.
