Day one of week two found us doing absolutely NOTHING. No beaches, no pool, no breakfasts or lunches out. For most of the day, the farthest we strayed from our nest here at the Towers was up the hill for a quick trip to the grocery store and back home again.
We awoke early and showered and had our coffee, preparing to head into P'berg but we were both over-tired and one of us who doesn't want her name mentioned was perhaps just a little cranky so we decided we needed a chill day and this was going to be it.
Our friends went into town without us but need to go back later in the week so I guess we'll join them then. It doesn't sound like much now that I'm reading what I'm writing but we watched a little news to catch up on the real world, took a nap on the balcony and generally enjoyed the reality of our home away from home. I managed to connect with some island friends and make some plans for later in the week so in the end it was a day well spent.
We did finally go up to the Green Monkey at the Ocean Club with our friends for dinner. It might not sound like much but I think I had the best tsteak I've ever enjoyed here on the island - a huge grilled rib-eye well seasoned and grilled to perfection, served with yummy garlic mashed potatoes. This is the same place that had (and may still have for all I know...) the all you can eat rib night which I wasn't personally a big fan of, but the steak was equal to the best steaks Ive had at Bajatzu or anywhere else on the island, but for only $25.00 per person. It's a Friday (I think) and Saturday (for sure) night special and it was huge. So big in fact that breakfast tomorrow will be steak and eggs and afternoon bites with our drinks will surely include cold steak cubes along with cheese cubes and some other goodies. And the best part, it's totally casual - shorts and shirts all around were the order of the evening and they were playing music from the sixties and seventies which made the evening complete.
When all was said and done, we each had a couple of drinks, no apps or desserts - too full to even contemplate either one - and of course, our entrees and dinner was $86.00 per couple, and we each brought at least half a steak home with us.
We got back home and played dice for a while, and here we are at the end of another enjoyable day. As you can tell by now, it doesn't take too much to make us happy and this really was a very nice day when all was said and done. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
