Michael and I met two lovely ladies on our beach at Divi this morning. We quickly became friends and decided to have lunch together. We had so much in common and asked them if they'd like a tour of the island. First we had lunch at Skipjack's where we could see the mega yachts. Took them over the new bridge. Through the lowlands and Cupecoy. We toured Orient Beach and made a stop at Paradise View. Our new friends were "animal people" like us so they loved the idea of meeting Bernadine. Michael and I always buy the biggest bag of cat food we can find to bring to her. What a lovely person she is. So many cats including one that looked like a flame point Siamese.
Bernadine was worried since high season has started but little money is coming in. She said that she faired well through the hurricane. So, if you are coming to the island, stop in and see Bernadine and help her take care of the cats. Your kindness will be repaid tenfold.
