Shoal Bay East is iconic, it is what brought me to Anguilla – it was on the front page of a Conde Nast Traveller, I had never heard of Anguilla, but knew I had to go and see that beach. It is white sand with water that is 50 shades of blue, there are offshore reefs which make for dramatic white waves way out. It is around two miles long with several beach bars and restos. I do not go there often, but when I do, it still takes my breath away.

Shoal Bay West is on the south side, there is only one restaurant and the beach is no where near as nice as SBE, rocky in places. Chairs are free with lunch, otherwise $40 each to rent. They have had seaweed lately.

If you go, go to Shoal Bay East, get dropped off at Elodias, rent some chairs, have a nice lunch and tell your driver when to pick you up. Do a rum punch crawl up and down the beach! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" />

Have fun,
