There is nothing to say, except is was one of our best trips ever. Caribbean Island Travel made our arrangements at L'Hoste. We used the 2 for 1 special with our friends.
We rented our Grand Vitari from AAA. We usually get a Corolla, but when they picked us up, my husband liked this car much better! We rented our phone from Sharon. Worked like a charm on the French side. Had to call back to my 85 year old Mom everyday and my hubby had to call into his office. I know, forget work, but he owns the company! Sells Office Furniture! We had wonderful weather, some days more windy, but we didn't mind. We ate lunches at Bikinni Beach, LaPlaya and munchies from the supermarket. We had wonderful dinners at Planet Orient, Il Nettuno, Spiga's, L'Escapade, California, Sol E Luna and Restaurant du Soleil. We had our duck, rack of lamb, chick parm, lobster raviolis, filet mignon, surf & turf. We had many wonderful desserts of choc cakes and cream brulees. We went to the TTOL party on Sat night and were blown away. The time was out of this world. We met many new people and saw familiar faces from the Rhode Island party. We couldn't believe all the hard work that went into this event. Thank you all. We had drinks at Calmos Cafe, La Vien En Rose, and the Fish Pot. We met a wine salesman and many locals at the bars. Just a great time talking with all. We heard music at Planet Orient, L'Astrolable at the Esmeralda and at the Blue Martini Bistro (new in Grand Case)
All Musicians were fantastic and we even bought one of their CD's. Never heard so much music on the French side. We sat on the beach every day. We read and met many TTOL friends who also stayed at L'Hoste. Went to Front Street one morning, but quickly returned back to the beach. All we wanted to do was sit in the sun (of course under the umbrellas!). We took a ride to Marigot and to the West Indies Mall. Didn't buy anything this trip. Usually visit Artistic Jewelers for David Yurman jewelry, but just too beautiful to be inside. We had a 7:00 flight on Friday to PR. We then had a 5 hr stay over and hopped a cab to the San Juan Ritz. Treated like royalty over there for breakfast then a lounge under the umbrella around the pool. Magnificent grounds. Our plane was 2 hrs late because of the horrendous storm, but our landing in Boston on the ice was perfect. Wish we had the calendar showing for our next trip, but we'll have to work on that! The only problem we encountered was the first day we were at L'Hoste there was no water. Not only on their property but on the whole French side. We loved going to the airport for a 5:30 checkin. It was completely dead. Just our Amer Eagle and a Carib. flight. Talk about silence. We loved it, just not getting up at 3:00 am. Again, a perfect week and loved using the 3 sponsors. Nothing but praise for them all! Thank you again and again!
