I am sure other people will have more to say on this, but thought I would try. I think the Sonesta Maho is an all inclusive resort, and many on this travel forum have a huge following of favorite restaurants and would not opt for that type of setup. I think they have been doing many renovations in that area, and you can bet that the back of that resort (not called Sonesta Maho) is going to get the beach area / views. You won't be far from it, if you have been watching this board and read a lot about the Sunset Beach Bar for the plane watching (on a beach), that is right near the Sonesta Maho. They will see plenty of planes from where they are at, most people say it doesn't bother them being very close to the airport. There are shops and restaurants in close proximity to that resort.
