There was just 1 big ship in today so we decided that it would be a good day to visit our friends in P'Burg. It was a little slow getting there, about 45 minutes from Maho and about 20 minutes getting back. My plan was to park in the dirt lot on Nisbeth Rd walk down to Front St and go to the end and come back on the Boardwalk, visit friends and have lunch and not shop but just look. Well that didn't happen, oh well.

Lots of Christmas decorations everywhere and people wearing Santa hats in 80 degree temperatures, which is hard for me to grasp when it's snowing today back home. There are about 40 tents along the Boardwalk for locals to sell their crafts but they were on island time and not set up when we were there. I heard that this year the government has allowed the businesses to be open on Christmas and Boxing day and with 6 ships in both days they will be busy.

We ended our day in P'Burg at Juggies for a few beers and a couple of his chocolate shakes (all rum). Then had a couple of cheeseburgers at his son's Krave place next door. They are really good!

Once we got back to La Terrasse I needed a plunge in the pool to refresh after the day in P'Burg. I then got to my lounge chair and noticed a problem at Royal Islander. The flags infront of La Plage had the Canadian flag flying upside down!!! Well that didn't sit well with me so off I went to the front desk of La Plage and La Terrasse and informed them that was disrespectful!! The front desk staff apologized and by the time I got back to my lounge chair the flags were taken down for the day.

I've included a few pics of our day for those missing the island.
