Once again, GEBE comes through with a power outage, or whatever you want to call it. Since I arrived last Monday, this is at least the 4th outage and I believe there was also one at night that I did not notate and I may have missed one along the way. It seems to be in the 2:30 range in this area
I don't know how the island can allow the continued building when the infrastructure is crumbling now. The roads are a mess, GEBE is a total joke and we will see if the airport and Brian Mingo come through as promised.
It seems everywhere you look, there is more building, hacking away a hillside yet the island residents suffer with power outages and other government corruption.
Anyone who thinks these outages are not impacting tourism is dead wrong. I would not be here now if The Horny Toad did not have the generator and I would not consider staying anywhere that did not.
