Just back from 3 days at Paradise for Halloween and a couple days at Caliente the following weekend. Visited family in between. Had a great time at both. We really do like Caliente but it almost seems like for the $ Paradise is a better value. Great time at both places. Weather was great.
Have nothing bad to say only good. Halloween is to much fun!
We rented a beautiful one bedroom condo at Paradis from a private owner back in O building for $75 a night. Had a lanai in the front and back, spacious front room and full kitchen with bar stools, 2 TV's stereo etc. At Calinete we could only get a hotel room for $85 and I think it went to $105 on the weekend. We prefered the extra room and being able to cook then being confined to the hotel room. In the past we have rented a Casita at Caliente but they were around $105 to $120 per night. So since we are going to SXM in 45 days we decided to save the dollars and go to Paradise for the first part of our trip.
I must be honest I have never seen anything going on in the conversation pool at Paradise but then we are not really looking either. We do really like Caliente and everything it has to offer and do think it is a little more upscale but when you are just looking to rest, read, dance a little and just relax Paradise does the trick. I have to admit we do like both places and have friends living at both.
One more thing at Caliente in the disco I think the outfits compared equally to what you would see at Paradise. All in all we had a relaxing fun time. Hope this answers all and will be happy to answer anyones questions
