It was pouring this morning around 10, though it was over quickly, wind was pretty fierce and a lot of clouds, so we decided to stay at Grand Case beach since our apartment is right on the beach, which worked out great for the few more times it rained - only 5 or so minutes but pretty heavy. We went to Orient Village for the first time for dinner. It is a nice setup -
about 7 restaurants in a horseshoe layout, with plenty of outdoor seating to reduce Covid issues. We tried Le Telegraphe. It was not crowded. I don't think I can give it a fair review since I ordered a veal saltimbocca - which I often get a a restaurant near me at home, veal pounded thin, dredged in flour and pan fried, with prosciutto, spinach in a butter and wine sauce - this came rolled up, with a dark sauce, and some veggies - so totally not what i expected, and to my taste, not all that great. The menu, on the other hand had many things that sounded great. My wife got the saffron risotto with roasted veggies and parmesan - it was good but not great. We finished around 7:30, and most of the places were fairly empty. Obligatory photo from under the pier at Grand Case.
