Most higher end restaurants in Anguilla close after mid August and begin to reopen in Oct . This is when the owners look to take a break . This has nothing to do with Covid but the lack of tourists during this time every year.
Of course there are always some who do not close and lots of local eateries which we tend to frequent year round.
Just no reason right now to be in a hurry to open when it is usually the slowest time every year.
They are just allowing citizens and property owners the opportunity to get back now which makes much more sense than what is going on in SXM.
Remember the requirements will apply mostly to property owners so they would not feel they are as stringent as a tourist more.
They will be more relaxed by Nov 1 and hopefully we will have a better handle on testing so it does not become the circus that is going on in SXM.
