Agree, it is not for everybody, spend the money where you want on what you want. Everybody has their own budget and where they are willing to spend their money and where they skimp and that is OK. Myself, I like to enjoy the journey as well as the destination.
I would note for those that don't end up staying there you are still able to visit the TWA terminal and it is worth the stop.
