We sent to Hidden Beach a couple years ago. It's a very comfortable and relaxing resort and we had a nice time. We'll likely be back and some point in time, though I find it to be a bit expensive for what you are getting.
Positives: The food is very good! I would not call it a real gourmet experience, but it was excellent for resort food. The beach is nice, if not really swimable (too shallow). The rooms were very nice and had a stocked fridge. It's very quiet, which we liked. The people were, as expected, wonderful people who were always very nice.
Negatives: Not much to do. They don't really have a lot of activities. It's more like going to a state-side resort. They had a dance, but it was a bit boring. They don't organize very many activities. We did sign up for the nude cruise, but they were one person short so they cancelled. I understand that, but we had to waste a lot of time in line for a refund, which was not really excusable. Just refund us automatically! And don't leave us sitting in the lobby ready to go.
One bit of advice. If you paint your toenails, avoid colors too close to the local flowers. One lady had a toenail polish literally named "hibiscus". It was very nice. So nice that one of the Iguana's decided to looked quite yummy and took a bite.
