Sunday 5/27 Husbands BIRTHDAY! After spending the day sailing, getting WAY more sun than we wanted to (you’d think I’d remember that cloudy, sprinkly days on the water THERE IS STILL SUN!), it was off to Moulin Fou in Maho for our big dinner out. No longer do we have to only eat here on Tuesday’s due to the noise from Cheri’s. It’s bittersweet to remember that.
Dinner did not disappoint. Excellent filet mignons, his with scallops. Shared French onion soup and carpaccio. Pictures of the menu attached for those who like to know what they might order and prices to expect. Sorry if you must turn your head sideways! lol
I couldn’t figure out if it looked better with flash or without. You get both! 😉
Dessert was a pear tart and the waiters singing Happy Birthday, complete with sparklers! The pictures do NOT do the taste of this thing justice. Even the plate décor tasted good! Spun sugar and a crisp plantain. The sauce was divine!
Monday 5/28
Into town to pick up jewelry, and some repaired earrings. Lots of activity along the boardwalk. The fishermen were cleaning strawberry grouper….
Lunch at Pizza del Sol in Simpson Bay. Paper crisp crust and the cheese was excellent. The rest was just ‘meh’. They didn’t have artichokes. ☹
Back to chillin’ at the BSV. 20 new chairs and cushions around the pool.
They have had to replant all the flowers and trees in the garden, but things are coming back. They are lovingly watered in the early evening or early morning.
In our continuing quest for pizza to replace our favorite place that is probably never going to re-open, we stopped and took pictures of the menu at Pizza & Co. Later that evening we had delivery! YAY! So nice to just go to the gate for dinner and not have to get dressed and go out. I loved the toppings. If you give me artichokes, I am set. Quattro Sagioni is my favorite! But mixed up! And that is exactly how they make it.
