Yes, that was tough luck!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Smile.gif" alt="" /> As I said though, they are somewhat difficult to store properly and not get stale, unless you have a tall airtight container, as the brownies go stale quickly.
