Made this one up myself... TASTY! Good for breakfast or dessert! And it's a lot easier than working with Phylo Dough!
[color:"blue"]Pizza Dough Baklava[/color]
INGREDIENTS: 1 store bought pizza dough (frozen or fresh) Honey Chopped Peacns or Walnuts Cinnamon Sugar Melted butter
DIRECTIONS: Oven to 350F. Take the pizza dough and roll out to about 8" wide and as long and thin as you can. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle liberally with Cinnamon Sugar on it evenly. Drizzle a good amount of honey all over. Sprinkle a good amount of the chopped nuts over all. Roll up the short way, so you have a long "log". Seal the ends by folding the ends under and pressing. Cut scant slits about 1/2" apart diagonally across the top. Brush top with melted butter and top with cinnamon sugar and drizzle more honey over it all (and maybe more finely chopped nuts). Place on a PAM covered non-stick jelly-roll pan with the seam side down... Bake in the oven til the dough is golden brown and done inside. (I have no idea of the time... I just watch it). Let cool and slice on a diagonal in 1/2" slices between the slits you made previously. Serve at room temp.
NOTE: Since our oven isn't that large... I usually cut the repipe into two "logs" and place them side by side in the jelly-roll pan...
