Quite awhile ago someone had a load of parrot type birds across the street and up the block from the Sapphire. For some reason the man that owned them and kept a caged area could no longer do so, so he donated them to the St. Maarten Zoo which had just opened a new facility. Perhaps the owner of the new place got them from the zoo. The parrot squawks at the zoo use to drive me crazy.
