I rented a car from Alain-AAA for my niece as a wedding present for the end of the month. He requested I wait until time gets closer to pay for it. Now I am having a problem getting in touch with him--guess he doesn't want my money. I tried to call using his Skye number but that didn't work does anyone know how else to reach him. Thank you

As I have said to other people here before, have you tried to call his SXM numbers? Even if you don't have any kind of a calling card, it will cost you maybe $2 to call him and ask him to call you back. His SXM numbers are listed on his website. His email is also listed on his website, at [email]tripaaa@caribserve.net.[/email] You can also send him an email with your phone number and ask him to call you to get the credit card information.

I usually have to send at least three emails for him to answer one. I will definitely call next time.

Nobody should have to jump through hoops to rent a car or to get a hold of someone to do so. I would look into another rental if I were you.

I agree...it is frustrating but I will give the call thing a try next year. I'm just not a phone talk person especially when there are other options

Tha's good. Glad it works for you. Looks like not all are so lucky. My statement wasn't targeting any particular rental company. over 10 years renting from allain and myra--one e-mail---all done----including plans for this upcoming trip.no problem on this end.

in about the seven or eight years i have been using AAA, i never have had to send more than one email at anytime. Hopefully the poster is using the right email address. Alain and Myra are always right on the ball.

Maybe the people who usually have no problem reaching AAA could provide the e-mail they use for the OP. Just a thought.

I am one of the three emails crowd and I use the only address I know about tripaaa@caribserve.netI should add that I sent a message from three different email addresses of mine AND filled out the online request and sent that (did that first). Third email try worked. None were returned as undeliverable which makes sense since they were all to the same address

Many email providers block emails from caribserve. Alain may well have received your email but could not reply, because the reply was blocked by YOUR email provider. To be clear, this is not a setting that you can even change. The email is blocked before it even GETS to your email box.

<tripaaa@caribserve.net> is the e-mail I use to reach Alain. We have been renting from him for over 15 years and NEVER have a problem with him responding promptly.
Note that the caribserve address will OFTEN be blocked by YOUR e-mail server so look in your junk folder. He may have been trying to reach you!

Well finally got through to him after sending about three emails and using this Skye number--no answer. Found his cell phone and someone picked up. thank you all. We have been usiing his services for over 15 years and never had a hard time reaching him before. No big deal--it worked out.

The email I use and always receive a prompt reply is [email]aaasxm@caribserve.net.[/email] T It appears that the sxm is missing after the aaa. See if that works better. Absolutely hate the "my rental car company can beat up your rental car company" competition on this board. However....................................Unity has never taken more than 1 day to respond to an email from me. No, not the cheapest. No, sometimes life happenings have caused inconvenience but in total, a good, fair, reliable rental car company. Enough said.
