Brandywine Bay Overnighting - 02/01/2016 10:30 PM

Read the BVI island guide, various online sites, and searched TTOL (90+% of TTOL are about on eating at the restaurant) so know it's a small bay with 4 or so balls for restaurant patrons and a little room for anchoring of ball field. Does sound nice and peaceful.
But I'm heard rumours that it's susceptibility to local island crime (breakins/dingy) make it a non-desirable spot to overnight.
Am considering it as a Plan B option for those just in case needs (been down there several times and will be there again March 6-13)
Anybody with REAL experience lately overnighting there?
Thanks!

We spent a night there last year. There are no mooring balls but it is shallow with a sandy bottom so anchoring was easy. The dock does not belong to the restaurant and it is rough concrete so you need to be a little creative. We always hoist the dingy on davits and lock up overnight when in areas with potential shore access but we did not see anything of concern. The restaurant is quite nice - well worth a visit.

I've done it a few times without any problems. However, it is probably four or more years ago so not recent experience.

You are certainly right by one of the BVI's best restaurants..reason enough to overnight there.
